U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx and Federal Aviation Administrator
Michael P. Huerta today released a joint statement in response to the crash of Asiana Flight 214.
TACA services now marketed under Avianca brand
Last week, Avianca announced TACA Airlines services in Peru and all other countries where the
brand exists will now be marketed under the unified Avianca brand.
UK Air Ambulance to fly at night
The UK’s East Anglian Air Ambulance charity organization and its helicopter operator, Bond Air
Services, have been allowed to fly emergency medical service missions at night, using night-vision
goggles.
NTSB: 10 killed in Alaska plane crash
An air taxi crashed Sunday at a small Alaska airport, killing all 10 people on board and leaving the
aircraft fully engulfed in flames before firefighters could get to it, authorities said.
Two new Turkish airports to open by end of July
Two new airports in the southeastern provinces of Turkey are expected to come into service by
the end of this month.
